How to Block and Unblock Specific Calling Party Telephone Numbers in an AvidTrak account.

1. In this tutorial you will learn how to block specific calling party telephone numbers in AvidTrak such that they may not be able to call any of the call tracking numbers in your account. Please note that the calling ID block is implemented only at a specific account level, and is not universally applied across all your accounts. This feature is free to use and we encourage AvidTrak users to deploy this feature to block bad actors who frequently spam you with unwanted phone calls.

2. After logging into your account as an administrator, navigate to the left menu bar and find the Numbers link which is under the Manage section. Click the “Block Caller” link from the left menu bar.

3. Click the icon that renders a Block Number popup.

4. Next, navigate to the “Enter phone numbers…” field and enter the ten digit telephone numbers of the calling parties whom you wish to block. Please note that all your tracking telephone numbers will be setup such that the Blocked parties may not call any of the tracking numbers in your account. Pro Tip: If you have multiple caller IDs that you wish to add to the block list, we suggest that you transfer the list to a notepad and then copy and paste those digits from your notepad.

5. Click the “Block Number” button to save your setting.

6. Click the “OK” button to reconfirm your settings.

7. Click “OK” again to move to the next step.

8. If you have inadvertently added a calling party telephone number that you wish to remove from your blocked caller’s list, you may do so by clicking the Unblock Caller icon.

9. From the manifest of blocked caller IDs, find the calling party telephone number that you wish to unblock, select the same and then click the “OK” button.

10. Click the “OK” button again to reconfirm your selection.

11. Once you have successfully unblocked a calling party, the page will refresh and you will be rendered a list of only those calling parties whose telephone numbers are blocked from calling your tracking numbers.
