Setting Up Microsoft Ads Integration with AvidTrak
1. In this tutorial you will learn how to integrate your AvidTrak account with your Microsoft Ads account. By integrating AvidTrak and Microsoft Ads you will have the ability to report your AvidTrak account’s phone calls as offline conversions in Microsoft Ads. The phone call conversions will appear as AvidCalls in your Microsoft Ads conversions column.
To proceed with this task, you will need to have a Microsoft Ads account. If you already have a Microsoft Ads account, login to your AvidTrak account using your Administrator’s login credentials.
Please note that AvidTrak will connect with your Microsoft Ads account using the email account address calltrackingintegrations@myanalyticsreport.com. To grant AvidTrak access to your Microsoft Ads Account, you must be able to access your Microsoft account as an administrator.
2. After logging into your AvidTrak account, navigate to the left menu bar and find the Integrations link which is under the Manage section. Click the “Integration” link from the left menu bar.
3. Find the Microsoft Ads Integration tile and click the “Add Integration” button.
4. After clicking the add integration button, you will see a popup screen appear on your web browser which will allow you to add your Microsoft Ads Account ID and the associated Microsoft Ads Email address in the respective fields. Please note that the Microsoft Ads email that you enter in the email field must be the Microsoft Ads Administrator’s email address. Microsoft will not accept an email address that does not match the account’s administrator’s email address on file with Microsoft.
5. To obtain your Microsoft Ads Account ID, please open a new web browser-window and login to your Microsoft Account using your Administrator’s credentials. Click the “Settings” button located in the left navigation column.Please note that when you open a new web browser-window for Microsoft Ads, you do not inadvertently close the AvidTrak page, and the integrations pop up window.
6. click the “Account settings” link.
7. When the Account Settings page opens, copy your Microsoft Ads Account ID.
8. After copying the Microsoft Ads Account ID, return to the AvidTrak page and in the “Enter Microsoft Ads Account ID” field, paste the digits that you had copied in the previous step.
9. Next, navigate to the “Enter Microsoft Ads Email ” field and enter your Microsoft Ads email address. If you do not know your email address or need to verify it, you will need to return to your Microsoft Ads Account. The next step outlines how you may obtain your Microsoft Ads email address. If you are certain about your email address, you may skip step number 10.
10. To obtain your Microsoft Account’s email address, click the Email preferences link. Copy the email address.
11. After you have entered the Microsoft Ads Account ID and Email address, you may complete the duration-trigger step. The duration trigger allows you to report phone call conversations that have a minimum engagement period. To specify the duration length, click the “Enter Microsoft Ads Duration” field and from the menu options make and enter your desired trigger duration.
12. Click the “Save Settings” button to save all your entries.
13. Click the “OK” button to reconfirm your settings.
14. Click “OK” again to move to the next step.
15. To close the pop up window, click the X icon located on the upper right corner of the pop-up window.
16. Once your AvidTrak and Microsoft Ads account has been successfully setup, your screen should show the integration status as Enabled and Active. If you see the status as pending instead of Active, please move to the next step.
17. Return to your Microsoft Ads Account and click the tools icon that appears within the left menu bar.
18. Click the “All accounts” link that appears below the Account and billing management heading.
19. Next, click the “Accounts summary” link
20. From the pop-up menu, click the”Requests” link.
21. Find Call Tracking Integrations and click the “Accept” button.
22. Next, click the “Approve” button to reconfirm your acceptance to connect your AvidTrak account with your Microsoft Ads Account.
23. Once your Microsoft Ads account is successfully setup in your AvidTrak account, you will see the status of account as Active.
