What is a Call Tracking Number

A call tracking number is a virtual, voice over internet protocol (VOIP) phone number that is primarily used to track inbound phone calls. When a phone call is placed into a call tracking phone number, the phone call gets ‘forwarded’ to either an office telephone number, a mobile telephone number or a residential land line. Once the call gets forwarded, the call is answered by a recipient and the call gets logged by call tracking number software for the entire duration of the conversation between the caller and the recipient.
